If you've been told you have pre diabetes or if you
think you may have pre diabetes symptoms you are one of the lucky
few that can still prevent your diabetes. Here is a basic
description of what’s happening in your body that causes pre
diabetes symptoms and diabetes symptoms to begin to show up.
Diabetes diagnosis
occurs when your blood glucose or blood sugar is too high.
This mean the amount of glucose in your blood is higher than normal.
Glucose in blood can be higher than normal because the pancreas is
producing too little insulin or because of a resistance to insulin by your
body or even a combination of both.
Your pancreas produces
insulin. Insulin production
occurs in the Islets of Langerhans in the pancreas.
The hormone insulin is necessary for your cells to convert the
glucose in blood to “food” for your body’s cells.
If not enough insulin is present, glucose or sugar will build up in
the blood causing what is know as
hyperglycemia commonly called high blood sugar.
High blood sugar can be devastating on the body causing many problems
and complications, some of which can be deadly.
That’s why if you have any of the pre diabetes symptoms listed below
you’ll want to make sure to get your physician to do a measurement of your
fasting blood sugar levels to determine if you have pre diabetes or
diabetes.
Symptoms of Pre Diabetes

Having problems with your eyes, blurred vision, black spots

Constantly thirsty

Loss of feeling in your feet or tingling sensations in your feet

Frequent urination
·
Itchy, dry skin
·
Losing weight without cause
·
Sores heal slowly
·
Constantly tired

Always hungry
ThThese symptoms of pre diabetes are the same as symptoms of diabetes.
If you are having any of these symptoms, be sure to get your
physician to check your fasting blood sugar levels.
A a Diagnosis of pre diabetes means you can delay or even prevent the onset of
diabetes. Often all it takes is
a change in diet, and an increase in activity.
If you are overweight, losing weight in many cases will eliminate pre
diabetes
. Di Diabetes is a very serious disease.
Left uncontrolled it can cause severe and even deadly complications.
Common complications of diabetes are kidney failure, blindness,
amputations, and heart disease among others.
